ImagesAZ Magazine reflects the Northern Phoenix lifestyle in an informative and responsible manner through outstanding, uplifting journalism, leading-edge design, and beautiful imagery. The magazine is balanced in its content and always personally relevant with an abundance of local information and resources. It continues to broaden its scope encompassing the entire readership with sensationally photographed and superbly written feature articles.

The integrity of ImagesAZ has developed and continued to grow with the region. Having been established in January 2000, just one year after the first major influx of residents to the area, ImagesAZ is seen as a trusted and reliable source. The magazines longevity and unrivalled quality has seen it become a staple of the region and advertisers are automatically associated with stability, credibility and class. This full size, color, glossy, perfect bound, monthly magazine is distributed to designated areas through direct mail, and is also available at local high traffic businesses.

Shelly Spence
Publisher/Owner

Shelly Spence, Publisher/Owner of Images AZ is proud of the magazine's undeniable place in Anthem's history. As publisher, she is dedicated not only to the magazine, but also to its readers. She is committed to continuing its focus as a positive, engaging reflection of its' desert home.

The magazine had humble beginnings as an eight-page newsletter. It served the community well, seven years ago. But, as the area boomed, Langston rose to the challenge and met the needs of its' readership. She attracted a talented team of professionals who all approached her, inspired to contribute their talents and ideas to the growing lifestyle publication. She is constantly looking to the future, and is thrilled to move forward taking the magazine in the positive and uplifting direction she always has.

Langston is a strong supporter of the arts, education, and athletics, and is committed to "giving back" to the community on a daily basis. She is recognized, year after year, for her business leadership and acumen, and has been awarded the 2006 Business Leadership Award, and was nominated for the 2005 Small Businessperson of the Year Award.

Langston graduated from Fresno State University with a B.A. in Fine Art and Photography and University of California Santa Cruz with a Certificate in Multimedia.

Stephanie Maher Palenque Editor

Stephanie Maher Palenque spent ten years in the book publishing industry before transitioning to a career as an English professor and full-time writer and book indexer. Her writing, both fiction and non-fiction, has been published in many regional and national magazines including Arizona Highways, Arizona Foothills Magazine, Arizona Bride, Corporate & Incentive Travel, Food & Lifestyles Magazine, and City NY, to name a few, and her award-winning poetry has been published in literary journals. Her first book, Crack & Cocaine = Busted! was published in 2005 by Enslow Publishers.

Palenque was honored with an "Outstanding Media Award" from the American Cancer Society for her newspaper writing while she lived in Boston . While there, she also received the Leadership Award from The United Way. She was named to the American Society of Indexers' "Order of Kohlrabi" in 2004.

Palenque 's father instilled in her a love for politics and public service, and at the age of eighteen she was elected to public office in New Jersey , and was subsequently re-elected for a second term. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University in South Orange , New Jersey in 1992. In 2005 she received her Master of Arts in English Literature and Creative Writing from Seton Hall University . She is currently working toward her Doctorate in English Literature at Arizona State University .


Michele Celentano
Photographic Artist

Michele Celentano is an internationally-known photographer who has recently achieved the Third Level in the Accolade program through Wedding Portrait Photographers International (WPPI). She now holds the Accolade of Photographic Mastery, Accolade of Outstanding Photographic Achievement, and the Accolade of Exceptional Photographic Achievement. Celentano is one of the youngest photographers worldwide, and one of just a select few women to be honored by Canon USA as an "Explorer of Light."

She serves as the official spokesperson for Canon USA , and is a corporate-sponsored speaker on the professional lecture circuit. Her award-winning work has been published in Fuji Profiles, Rangefinder, Shutterbug, and American Photographer magazines.

Denise Fleming
Community News & Customer Relations

Denise Fleming's extensive experience in sales and advertising is a wonderful asset to the Images AZ team. Her diverse background, coaching experience, enthusiasm, and energy helps her to make crucial connections to people and businesses throughout our distribution area. She spent ten years in sales, and has worked in corporate advertising, as well as software and business development.

Fleming has written health and wellness training programs and publications, and was a group exercise instructor and personal trainer for fourteen years, as well as a national cheer and dance coach.

Fleming received a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of New Mexico in 1996 and an MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2004.

Meaghan Mitchell
Art Director & Graphic Design

Meaghan Mitchell has a wealth of experience in graphic design and layout, as she has not only designed for Images AZ for years, but has also designed many of the ads, business cards, and logos for the surrounding businesses. Meghan's sharp sense of style has guided Images AZ through many features and periodic redesign of the magazine.

Meaghan is completely self-taught. She was drawn to design when she began assisting her mother by creating beautiful documents for their church at the tender age of seventeen. She has since started her graphics design business, "Meaghan's Dream Graphic Design."

Maggie Chamberlin
Web Designer

Maggie Chamberlin is an award-winning web site designer and business owner. She designed the overall concept for the Images AZ website, and updates it every month with online versions of our print issues.

Chamberlin received the eMarketing Associaton Web Site of the Year Award - Gold Winner for work on the ProBusiness corporate Web site, a division of Automatic Data Processing (ADP). She received the 2007 Business Leadership Award from the Chamber of Commerce at Anthem.

Her business, Xfactor Designs (formerly Xtreme Computer Center) has been in existence since 2003; her client list extends from Maui, Hawaii to Detroit, Michigan . Her successful enterprise has been built on client referrals and is a testament to her hard work and determination.

Maggie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Photography from California State University East Bay. She is also a certified eMarketer (CeM) with specialty training in Search Engine Optimization and Advanced Email & Website Marketing.
