Have you ever seen that person at the airport, a meeting or a training session who is battling with the head-nod? You know what I'm talking about - right? The guy whose body is caught between wanting sleep, but in an environment that dictates he stay awake? We watch his chin begin to dip slowing towards his chest and then, like a new recruit coming to the attention of a screaming drill sergeant, he jerks to attention. For a few seconds he sits up straight, adjusts his seat, checks for drool and then, within a few seconds, he begins to nod again.

I've been that person, and my guess is that so have you. No other environment seemed to produce more of these embarrassing moments for me than that of training events and strategy seminars. Too often, I would attend with high hopes of learning and quickly find myself checking out due to the fact it just wasn't relevant or because the speaker spoke in a manner that was less interesting than watching the second hand make its way around the clock.

It's with these moments in mind that we created "Distinction," a creative conference for building your business. We combine relevant teachings within a festive environment.
