We Care Bunco Charity & Slient Auction Event a Huge Success!
The 2nd Annual Bunco & Silent Auction Event was a huge success, raising
over $4,000 for Amber’s, Brooke’s & Jeremy’s medical expenses. Everyone
had a great time and a big thanks goes to all of those who donated to these
most worthy causes. A special thanks goes to Brooke York for sharing MC
duties for the evening and to Cornell Eyde for running the silent auction. |

We Care in Anthem will hold the second annual A nthem B unko C harity and Silent Auction Event on January 30, 2004 at 6:00pm at the Anthem Community Center. The event proceeds will help with medical expenses for Brooke York, a four-year-old Anthem resident who was diagnosed with leukemia.
All bunko players - men and women, from first-time to seasoned players, are welcome. Come and have fun, and meet people from the area. The evening includes prizes, raffle ticket items and silent auction items. |
| Entry prices are $15.00 in advance, which includes an exclusive limited edition Anthem Bunko Charity 2004 t-shirt. Wednesday, January 28th until the night of the event (at the door), tickets will be $20.00 and will also include a shirt.
The event coordinator is Anthem resident Christine Eyde, who has a passion for fundraising and helping others. She coordinated the Bunco occasion in 2002 for Joshua Thompson, a former Anthem resident with a cancerous brain tumor. When Eyde started planning the event last year, she figured there would be 20 to 30 women with a few prizes. However, the donations and registrations poured in and the event ended up with over 100 male and female bunko players, bringing in several thousand dollars. Eyde hopes to make the Bunco party and auction a yearly event. To register, contact Christine Eyde at 623-551-0562 or ChristineEyde@yahoo.com. The event is in need of volunteers and silent auction items. Please contact Christine if you can help. |
